Exit InterviewWhy do I have to complete an Exit Interview?You are required by Federal regulations to complete an Exit Interview Session with Colorado State University when you graduate, withdraw, or drop below at least half-time student status. If you have Direct Loans, you also have to do one with them. They are not the same and we don't have access to that info. So, you have to do one for your Perkins/HPL loans as well. What is an Exit Interview Session?An Exit Interview is an informational session about the repayment of your Federal Perkins or HPL student loan. At this session you will receive a Truth-in-Lending Statement and an Exit Questionnaire to complete and sign, along with copies for your files. You will have an opportunity to ask questions about your Perkins and/or HPL Loan, your eligibility for deferment or cancellation benefits, and your obligation to pay back your loan now that you are no longer enrolled at Colorado State University or another institution of higher education. How do I fulfill my Exit Interview requirement?To fulfill your Exit requirement, please do one of the following;
How long is the Exit Interview Session?Generally it takes between 5-10 minutes to complete your Exit Interview requirement. You can reduce the amount of time you spend at the Exit Interview Session by completing the Exit Questionnaire prior to attending the Exit Session.
